Why VR Porn Get Popularity So Quickly?

VR porn is highly popular and all the glasses and accessories for it are being sold everywhere. Why this segment of sex movies is so interesting? Maybe the answer is not only in innovations and new challenges for viewers. It seems that humankind has made a logical breakthrough on the way of treating sex and culture, sex and social life.

Let’s observe the historical context:

For pornography, the invention of cinema made it possible to see bodies in motion, contacts from different angles, close-ups, in details that were not used to before. Porn movies popped up at the very beginning of the XX century.

It is believed that this business has been flourishing in 1994. Mostly porn is shot in Germany, France, and Latin America. In the USA, porn movies were created by absolute business professionals. The studios had access to the equipment, and it was possible to shoot on a sunny open-air all year round. Therefore, in Hollywood, the quality of such movies was higher than in New York, where the production centers had much fewer resources. By the way, there was no music in that films.

Before 1960-s adult movies existed only in the underground and were not part of the official culture. Consequently, they did not evolve: critics did not find fault with them, saying that the plot had to be finalized etc. And most importantly, they were not watched by women.  While the men watched porn in small groups, they turned a blind eye to this kind of movie. But as soon as the forbidden films began to make their way onto the big screen, the censors became more active.

In response, the film industry invented its ten commandments – the Hays Code. These were the rules of cinema, defining what is acceptable to show to the public and what is not. The presence of police in cinemas was s commonplace. The paradox of pornography is that attempts to define its framework and stop it led to the opposite effect – its spread.

Akipping the free spirit from 60-s to 90-s, we may say that by the end of the 20th century, the porn industry reached uncontrolled volumes and, overcoming social and legislative barriers. It really reached every home as a digital signal. Moreover, digital technology has made possible any sex act that can be imagined visible and profitable. New genres of porn emerged:

  • sex tape by politicians;
  • home-made video by celebrities (which “accidentally” fall into the hands of the villains-distributors and mass media).

And the last finding of the porn industry became 3D-films with the effect of real presence. Do you like them? Are you their admirer? In 2010 the movie “Kama Sutra” shot with this technology was created. Just a couple of months before the “Octopussy 3D: A XXX Parody” and “Whorrey Potter and the Sorcerer’s Balls” quickly found their audience.

It seems that technologies attracted to porn those people who like VR in general. They started from simple plots because of curiosity and then unexpectedly ended up with watching porn. Because it’s eternal trend – to be interested in people sexual life as a phenomenon. To observe, to listen to sounds, to feel emotions during the hot scenes.

It’s quite tempting and thrilling, don’t you think so? You just put on VR glasses and accessories and become like participator. Therefore there is no surprise in so huge progress in VR porn which goes hand in hand with technologies.
